Mindray Makes Donations to Designated Hospitals for COVID-19 in Wuhan

Mindray announces to donate 3.14 million USD’s worth of medical devices to Tongji Hospital and Union Hospital
affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science & Technology in Wuhan, two designated
hospitals for critically ill coronavirus patients. The donation includes Mindray patient monitors, ultrasound
systems and in-vitro diagnostic devices. Mindray engineers are now working against time to ensure the timely
delivery and installation.
To date, Mindray has donated over 4.71 million USD’s worth of medical devices to designated medical institutions for COVID-19 in Hubei Province. Across China, Mindray has totally delivered over 50,000 units of devices to regions in urgent need.
In Wuhan, Tongji Hospital and Union Hospital take the lead in terms of providing quality healthcare and carrying out medical research on COVID-19 , thus becoming irreplaceable fortresses at the very forefront of the battle against this epidemic. So far, Tongji Hospital has admitted more than 2,000 coronavirus patients who are critically ill. This makes Tongji Hospital the designated place which admits the most critically ill patients in the whole city. As for Union Hospital, it has received more than 70,000 outpatient visits, both online and offline, from the outbreak of COVID-19 to early February. Pooling expertise and knowledge, the hospital has also organized over 50 teleconsultation conferences with hospitals in other regions of Hubei to provide effective, systematic and advanced treatment plans for coronavirus patients.

Since the epidemic outbreak in January, Mindray was among the first responders to the clinical demands at the very forefront and has delivered about 1,000 units of patient monitors, defibrillators, anesthesia machines, POC ultrasound systems and other medical devices in total to Tongji Hospital. These devices become both the sword defeating the coronavirus and the shield protecting the caregivers. This time, Mindray makes a new round of donation, 1.57 million USD’s worth of medical devices, to Tongji Hospital. It includes Mindray defibrillators, patient monitors, AEDs, ultrasound teleconsultation systems, high-end ultrasound systems, CRP automated hematology analyzers and analysis lines, which will all be installed very soon.

For the Union Hospital’s newly renovated inpatient area for COVID-19, this time, Mindray donates 1.57 million USD’s worth of medical devices. That includes Mindray anesthesia workstations, patient monitors, ultrasound teleconsultation systems, high-end ultrasound systems, portable ultrasound systems, CRP automated hematology analyzers and analysis lines.
